Izzie goes to the ICU where she watches Alison in her bed. Swender is explaining to Alison's family that they couldn't finish the surgery. Alison can't breathe on her own now, so she is on a ventilator. If Alison stabilizes, they will be able to finish the surgery. The family thinks she'll be able to breathe on her own again after the surgery, but Cristina explains that her brain didn't get enough oxygen when Alison's heart stopped during surgery. It's unlikely Alison will ever be able to breathe on her own again. Alison's mother breaks down as Izzie watches Alison.

In the PICU, they watch Arizona deliver the good news. They watch the joy of the parents. The joy comes around so rarely they can forget it happens, Bailey says, but the joy is why they do this. Callie and Swender smile and nod.
Aria has been my first ever -A suspect. Even if she doesn`t turn out to be -A sometime in the future (although there are plenty of clues) she`s the one person I HOPE will be revealed as a villain of some kind. With so many new characters introduced in 5B, and characters from the past seasons coming back and acting all kinds of suspicious (Andrew and Mike, I`m looking at you), I completely overlooked Aria. Well, it`s 5x23 and Aria has never been more shady!
So, despite all of the craziness that`s been going on leading up to the season 5 finale, and despite who Big A will be, I think we should watch Aria because there`s still a lot we need to find out about her in seasons 6/7.
BTW. I think Lucy Hale is an amazing actress and out of all ofthe cast I think she could pull of being Big A the best. She was actually castfirst for the show - that means that she is the most important character. Sometimes I just get the chills when I watch her, because shecan be so mysterious and she can get really angry really fast. Just look atthis picture. She can pull of EVIL.
I also found it weird when Hanna told the girls that Charleshad played a game with her with switches Aria claimed that she had done thattoo (Although she is the only one of them who has not had a flashback of thatexperience, so I think she never actually played it but she was watching all ofthem). Before Spencer and Emily can tell the girls that they had played aswell, Aria just knew and tells them she was never shocked and asks if any ofthem were ever shocked. She did that because she wanted them to know that Atricked them.
House, Foreman and Dead Amber watch Foreman try to treat the sloughing off skin. House wants an ultrasound of her liver to look for masses. He wants to know what caused the skin issue. He suggests something that Foreman says would be a one in a million reaction. House thinks maybe this is the one.
He watches the patient. He realizes nothing changes. An epiphany, all by himself. House thinks the ballerino is being too devoted, out of guilt. He thinks he cheated and she has gonorrhea in her heart (apparently this is possible).

Oliver chases Chase across the island, jumping on his escaping boat at the last moment. After a fight, Chase reveals that A) William is on the boat with him and B) the plane Team Arrow was planning to escape on is broken. He gives Oliver an ultimatum even more difficult than the one he faced in the season two flashbacks. Oliver can kill Chase, saving his son but killing all of his friends, or he can do nothing and watch his son die. Oliver chooses option three and delivers chase a non-lethal wound. With William in his arms, Oliver has finally won. In a devastating turn of events, Chase reveals a gun and shoots himself in the head, and Lian Yu explodes, with the entirety of Team Arrow still on the island. 041b061a72
